Can I extend the scope of my peer evaluator authorization?

It is always possible, but it is important to stay in touch with the person responsible for competencies or assessors at your accreditation body, so that FM006 is updated with the experience acquired in a specific scope and the supporting documents of your authorization as an assessor from the Accreditation Body are sent, as established in IAAC PR004.

Are there conflicts of interest in peer evaluations?

According to IAAC MD002, any prior activity involving consulting services with the accreditation body being evaluated in the last four years is considered a conflict of interest and may pose a threat to impartiality. Therefore, it must be reported to the MLAG Chair or Secretariat. Other activities are detailed in MD 002, section 2.3.
