World Accreditation Day 2023

On June 9, 2023,  World Accreditation Day (#WAD2023) took place, a global initiative established by IAF and ILAC to promote the value of accreditation. This year's theme was Accreditation: Supporting the Future of world trade. The theme focused on how accreditation supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 14, and 17.

IAAC organized a virtual event to celebrate World Accreditation Day #WAD 2023 with the participation of prominent international speakers and Accreditation Bodies from the region. IAAC's WAD 2023 event was attended by 313 people and was held one day before the actual WAD date, leading to increased turnout without competing with other WAD celebrations held throughout the region. The IAAC WAD event was broadcast live on YouTube and is now available on the website www.iaac.org.mx and the YouTube channel, watch the video here.

Case studies and research on the recognition of the IAF MLA and ILAC MRA by governments and regulators are available on the Public Sector Assurance website. This website is a collaborative initiative of INetQI members and is continually updated with case studies collected in support of the WAD 2023 theme: Accreditation: Supporting the future of global trade.

The Business Benefits website, also another successful collaboration of INetQI partners, is a reference website designed to demonstrate the monetary value of standards, conformity assessment, and accreditation for businesses.

But that's not all, there were also other celebrations on the occasion of #WAD2023, you can visit the reports and videos of each country's celebrations in the following table.
